Will Rogers Elementary School
Stillwater Public Schools

As Oklahoma’s oldest public school district, Stillwater Public Schools long enjoyed a reputation for academic achievement. In recent years, outdated facilities and capacity issues failed to reflect the district’s commitment to excellence. In 2011, Stillwater voters passed a bond issue that lead to replacing Will Rogers Elementary with a new school building.

The new Will Rogers Elementary includes 30 classrooms, a media center, student commons area, multipurpose gymnasium and cafeteria. The new facility also includes a community activity center and outdoor instructional gardens to be used by the community. The two-story building preserved 90 percent of the open space on the 12-acre site. This project is seeking LEED Silver certification.
