The Spears School of Business is composed of seven academic departments with more than 100 tenure and tenure-track faculty. The student body is made up of nearly 4,500 undergraduate students pursuing nine majors and approximately 780 graduate students pursuing eight master’s degrees and eight Ph.D. concentrations.

Wallace provided structural and civil engineering services for the new four-story, 147,450 square foot business school, home base for more than 5,000 business majors from 44 states and 59 countries. The new facility features 13 classrooms, 12 team/meeting rooms, two auditoriums with seating for 300 and 150, 11 conference rooms, four labs, seven academic department offices, 150 administrative offices, stock exchange ticker, graduate student lounge, student organization room, coffee shop/snack bar, naturally lit all-purpose atrium, outdoor terrace and the Chesapeake Energy Student Success Center. The building also includes meeting rooms for collaborative group work, incubators to facilitate entrepreneurship, and gathering rooms that encourage cross-disciplinary interaction among faculty and students.
