TCO Performance Center and Stadium
Minnesota Vikings Headquarters
Since kicking off their storied program in 1961, the Minnesota Vikings have consistently been a divisional force in the National Football League, appearing in four Super Bowls and numerous playoff games. As the program prospered, the Vikings outgrew their existing training facility and corporate offices where they had been since 1980. Employees were scattered in multiple buildings and there was a need for more practice fields, more meeting rooms, larger locker rooms and other amenities necessary to improve the performance of the athletes.
The TCO Performance Center, the Vikings’ new headquarters, includes 277,000 square feet of office and training facilities, four outdoor practice fields and an indoor practice facility, featuring a 100-yard indoor field and 95-foot interior clear height. Other player and staff amenities include 6,500 square foot locker room complete with fireplaces and big-screen TVs, a 6,145 square foot weight room, a cryotherapy and hydrotherapy center, a one-of-a-kind draft room, a nutrition bar and the Vikings Entertainment Network studio. A 6,000-seat outdoor stadium can accommodate a variety of community events, including Vikings’ scrimmages, local high school games, concerts and more.
Located on the former Northwest Airlines Headquarters site, the 40-acre training and headquarters complex is the centerpiece of a planned 194-acre mixed-use development. The project offers ways for the team to interact with the community and increase player performance and employee satisfaction.
