
Wallace provided civil design services for six bridges along the Kilpatrick Turnpike: one set of twin bridges with two 600′, two-lane, 6 span bridges spanning a railroad crossing and city street at 45 degrees, providing a 38′ clear roadway; two single-span 200′ long, 2-lane bridges with 50-70 degree skews crossing Northwest Expressway; and twin single-span 2-lane bridges spanning 80′ and crossing a major arterial road at an 85 degree skew. Each utilized precast concrete beams of Types III, IV and 72″ bulb tee.
